I have done research for barriers to exercise. 8 people have done my survey, 4 people (50%) have said they exercise 3-4 times a week, 3 people (37.5%) have said they exercise 5-7 times a week and 1 person (12.5%) have said they never exercise. The barriers for this person not exercising could be health problems, mental problems and support networks. Health problems such as someone having asthma may stop them from exercising as too much running could end up making them have an Asthma attack, to stop this from happening this person could maybe change to doing exercises that doesn’t include running such as doing weights in the gym and doing walking football etc. another barrier could be mental problems, if someone has mental problems such as depression it could stop them from being motivated therefore they won’t want to exercise. This links with support networks, this person may not have a family member who supports them therefore they won’t have anyone motivate them. They could maybe get a friend to go to the gym with and help them get motivated to exercise.
